In this day and age when every person claims for themselves to be upon the truth, the call of the actual righteous ones has fallen on deaf ears. Not only has the true call to tawheed been drowned out by the cowardly speech of the Murjiah of this Ummah, but the so called speakers upon the correct manhaj themselves have gone in to hiding, or they have turned over a new leaf to please the ones in control of them. The first thing that every married Muslim must realize is that one’s spouse is first and foremost another Muslim. He/she is one’s brother and sister in Islam. Therefore, at minimum all rights that fall upon a Muslim due to the general brotherhood of Islam are also due to one’s spouse. It is a sad situation for a Muslim brother or sister to respect their Muslim brothers and sisters outside of the house but for the situation in the house to degenerate into less even than that minimum standard of respect and kindness inside the household. Being a woman in this day and age is difficult, and being a Muslim Woman carries even more weight. The Muslim woman just like the Muslim man is expected to act in accordance to the Qur’an and Sunnah.

However, saying that, for those that live in the west the line becomes blurry, we get outdated fatawa from scholars who have never visited a cinema or seen a place like Movie World, and with all due respect we take fatawa on thousands of issues from the Ulama, but when it comes to specific fiqh of that which is cutomary to people in the west and that which in common only in the west, we need to look for people who understand that way of life.
