An-Nawawi may Allah have mercy on him said: It is mustahabb to pray two rak‘ahs or more before ‘Isha’, because of the hadeeth of ‘Abdullah ibn Maghfal,

Supplicating to Allah is of the best things a Mulim can do, but there are certain supplications that should be used in certain situations to get the most out of that particular situation, as was the pracitce of rasulAllah saws, and those closest to him.

This list which you can print out and place in places as a reminder (Like on the inside of the front door, so as to remember to say it as you leave the house) that will come in very handy, as you and your family strive to memorize these supplications.
