We live in a world where non Muslims and the western media are judging almost 15 centuries of Islam, Allah and His Messenger, by a few incidents done by the most extreme of the most extreme, we are literally talking about less that 0.1% of a population that numbers almost 2 billion people.

Of course the media and the main anti-Muslim protagonists will not speak about the magnificent contributions Islam had to modern day technology, towards law, linguistics, mathematics, architecture, geo-politics, war conditions, rules and treatises. There is not a word about how Muslims came all the way up to spain to protect a Jewish population that was being wiped out and discriminated against by the ruling monarchy. Yes, you read that correctly, Muslims went to Spain to save the Jews living there, from persecution and terrorism, 1000 years before Hitler and the Gestapo of the Nazi State.

All we hear about is a handful of people who broke a pact, but the question is, what does Islam say about the Civilian population in times of war. It is clear that the “peace protecting” West, considers Muslim civilians as collateral damage, when a smart bomb hits a civilian village, maiming and killing dozens of people, hundreds of times over and over again, we realise that people really are expendable to the defender of the world.

Ponder over that hadith for a while, how true it is. As for the father who loves his own money more than the money of his son, does he not realize that one day his son will take that very money of his and he will have nothing to do with it?

All that is left of his money is what he spent during his life for the sake of Allah, if there was any such money. Any of it spent in charity for the sake of Allah, is money that will be yours permanently.

The Arabic word for charity includes zakah, sadaqah, waqf, and any type of monetary good that you did. Everything besides this will go into the hands of your inheritors.
Remember that feeding your family is an ibaadah if you are doing it for the sake of Allah.

If you are doing it for the sake of Allah, you will be rewarded. This leads to a great issue, where men and women start to mingle and mix through these virtual platforms of sin. What we need to remember and know is that, we are who we truly are, when nobody is looking at us.

What we forget is that Allah is the All Seeing and All Hearing…. just because we are confined to our homes behind computer screens does not mean we are free to socialize and have relationships which outside of the internet would be considered haram.

In this day and age when every person claims for themselves to be upon the truth, the call of the actual righteous ones has fallen on deaf ears. Not only has the true call to tawheed been drowned out by the cowardly speech of the Murjiah of this Ummah, but the so called speakers upon the correct manhaj themselves have gone in to hiding, or they have turned over a new leaf to please the ones in control of them. They start fearing a punishment from men more than the punishment from Allah, for knowing the truth, but not speaking up about it.

I proudly punded my chest for many years claiming I was a salafi, in Aqeedah, In Fiqh, In the understanding of Tawheed…. in everything you can imagine nd mention. Then I started studying Islam, and many times found my self perplexed by many of the opinions I held, realizing that those very opinions were based upon the ijtihad of a scholar.

No matter how much I tried to shake taqleed away and remain upon Al-Itiba’a, I found my self in uncharted territory. This write up below will, in sha Allah, further the foundations put in place by the madhahib and their respected jurrists, over the centuries. Sometimes, we need to learn more to understand how much we actually are ignorant off.

No matter what level a student’s intelligence and determination reaches, he cannot be a Mujtahid in every legal issue, comprehending the study of their evidences from the standpoint of Prophetic tradition, linguistics, legal principles and jurisprudence. So it is inevitable that he will need to follow a scholar [Taqlīd] in a majority of legal issues. Adhering to a school will keep him occupied and is preferable for him in the face of evidence of equal weight and the absence of one view being prominent over another- so he follows his ‘Imām.
